wow..... 1 day to 15 years..... 1 year + 1 more day till 16 (and according to some guai lan seniors) the time for NC16 movies ><............

haha...... but like its gonna be 15 years alr... and there r quite a few ppl who r alr 15 and r slightly older tt me aka manfred, alvin, kirk(whose bday i think is today)....... im sry if i forgot anyone else.......

and anw today was quite an eventful day of sorts...... as in, we got notified tt we hv to keep blogs for ENGLISH.... which means that my english in tt blog should not be as slip shod as it is now...... erm, wad else..... then there was like alot of lessons that i was almost falling asleep to cuz i was watching the man u and tottenham game.... sad la.... tottenham scored first...... then dawson just had to get sent off T.T.......... erm...... math we're chugging along to geometry....... and like omg... i had better start remembering the formulas for midpoints, eqn of lines, etc FOR GOOD........ d'oh erm..... oh yes, and i guess its starting to get really hectic SOON so im not sure if i can update much more >< not tt many ppl r reading i think XD

hrm.... tmr, my birthday is when all the hectic and busy stuff starts...... poor me T.T......... d'oh INVESTITURE!!!!!!!!!!!! of all days meetings and plannings and what hv u get to start officially in full force it has to be TMR!!!!!!!! sigh.... well, catch my in sch tmr, i reckon ill be staying back to quite late ><><

oh yes...... and today im so disappointed....... my family went out to shop for new year clothes today but like...... usually im damn sian cuz i hv to follow everyone arnd window shopping and like i juz tag along looking bored with nothing but my handphone and ipod for company........ YES ITS USUALLY QUITE (QUITE!!!!) BORING......

but today.... i saw this really funny shirt at topshop at wisma (i dont usually look for clothes c?).......... and then......... my mum said NO........ T.T ok.......... HAHA.......... so =(............ being wuliao.......

dots....... its nearing the end of saturday so it shldnt count as saturday....... its now 9.25 pm....... im waiting for liverpool versus dunno wad semi-pro football side......... dont ask me why im watching such a weird and lopsided match, im just watching liverpool and making my (dad's and mum's) money worthwhile ><

but other tt that, im like a wee bit distressed........ cuz i just realised that mpp will clash with NEP board training and/or hockey training!!! like omg.......... sigh...... O.o and i think this board training was supposed to be compulsory attendance tts why they leave it open for two days / slots......... d'oh....... and if ur wondering why missing mpp or hockey training is such a big deal (or missing board training for tt matter)

its cuz for MPP, we're expecting half our team to be away already (meaning adil, ren jie and nick quah for debates) so like.... they're 3 of us left (kwek, chin jie and myself) so like.... if i were to leave too.... that would leave.... yes, kwek and chin jie......... hrm, i think both of them r equally capable of manhandling the judges to let us get selected for the debates BUT.... i mean like.... 2 outta 6? wheres the ri commitment that was stressed to us by our teacher IC and the presenter frm NUS faculty of law............ AND as for hockey...... i bet ur thinking...... its just ONE outta the how many thousands sessions of hockey trainings uve been to........... BUT WE'RE TALKING ABT B DIV HOCKEY IN TWO WEEKS HERE!!!!!!! by the time friday arrives, our season shld be 2 weeks away (if im not wrong) and ITS LIKE TWO WEEKS AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and our team hasnt been decided yet.......... TWO WEEKS TO B DIV (i think)!!!!!!!!!

so yes....... d'oh......... but anw i sent mr teo an email......... c how first....... most ill juz hv to pwn hockey cuz they say ripb takes priority..... I HV NO IDEA WHY!!! but anw.... ya.......... T.T

the weekend is HERE!!!!! not tt ill have much of a weekend left aft my family has been done shopping (which i must tag along for some very weird reason).......... but hrm, i THINK most of my homework is done...... or mebbe not..... ahhh my memory.......... i think i shld stop relying on daryl, yong jun, yu chien or any other classmate or mine....... ive been more or less relying on them to remind me wad homework to do........ anyone noes any course for memory improvement thats tried, tested, good and CHEAP????

hrm..... today had normal sch....... ONCE AGAIN FORGOT TO BRING EITHER MY BIO OR CHEM NOTEBOOK so i had to copy all chem notes this time into my bio notebook...... d'oh more transfering and wasted time.......... had swimming...... and our pe teacher seems quite nice ba..... i think he noes alot abt the singapore sports scene, esp the youth sports scene.... and hes the new floorball coach, like how cool is that..... and floorball is wayyyyy cool......... wonder where u buy sticks frm.... must ask him....... aravind oso wanted to buy a stick, but i think its not very practical la.... i mean like, its fun if u play together BUT THERE CANT BE B DIV FLOORBALL AND HOCKEY TOGETHER SO T.T......... but im not very pro at floorball la, can play but there r others in the hockey team tt r way imba la..... wth adib and micah........ oh yes and swimming >< i cant tread water properly...... so i expect water polo to not be very fun for me in future (when it shld be one of the more fun swimming modules T.T) d'oh and hockey is at the last term for our class NOOOOOOOOOOOO (means less time since term 4 is cut short)

and then there was mpp.......... lawyers sound quite interesting........... and the talks were quite informative....... BUT the fact tt most of the topics tt r bounced arnd in s'pore r not exactly erm, extremely exciting or numerous, its quite....... hard to think of a brilliant topic to propose a bill on la........ trust ppl like adil and assorted ppl to think of more exotic topics tt we cancelled out (hopefully once and for all)

haha, now i feel a bit more free-er than last year, when i shouldnt be.... or maybe its because its only week 4...... hrm...... but really. suddenly, without 3rd language and this week there were JG trials, there was no reason to stay back, other than to play soccer perhaps (but i got this huge painful astroburn on my right foot so forget abt it) I HV MORE TIME THAN USUAL!!!! =)

haha, and im not very guilty abt it cuz i actually used tt time last tuesday to read up on bio and chem!!! ahaha..... my bio and chem teachers r doing alot of revision work rite now.... and its making me realize i hv a very forgetful brain... as in sec 2 work goes in, and goes out to make space for sec 3 work and the worst part is!!!! u hv to know (ok fine REMEMBER) the sec 2 work to comphrehend the sec 3 work fully ........ XD haha.......... but i think i should start using time for chinese as well because its like failing quite badly now........ haiyo..... dunno why oso........ my chinese now very rusty cuz nvr use for like 2 months other tt sporadically of course.....

ah.......... but most of the time i come home like on tuesdays and thursdays (very early compared to the other days) i SLEEP cuz tired.... dunno la.... abit jaded...... maybe its because of hockey training........ and yesterday's was very tiring!!!! we had this counter attacking exercise over the whole pitch....... its like, 3 ppl with the ball will try their best to get to the other end of the field to score against 2 defenders..... once the defenders win the ball or once their opponent scores, their 3rd man has to join them and they hv to take the ball and chiong as fast as they can to the other end to score..... so its like, four grps of 3 ppl each chiong frm one end to the field to the other non stop for like.... dunno how long...... whew......

haha, and abt my other cca, debates...... JGs confirm no hope la, cuz i hvnt been to trainings regularly..... asked ren jie and nick quah wad other competitions r left.... hrm..... think ill try to go for as many trainings la...... left 1+ years in RI only........ so shld make use of all the opportunities....... XD....... haha..... hope i remain as commited.......

and i shld be cuz ill be seeing like 3 other debaters everytime there re cuz we're taking part in moot parliament which shld hopefully be quite fun........ =) haha........ and it shld be la.... moot parliament sounds fun....... and theres a seminar tomorrow at the NUS place i think........ which means ill be missing hockey (mixed reaction)........ haha

haha, today i feel very wu liao, got some time so i shall like post some random post.... hrm.... alot of happened to me since the last time i posted something...... which was like last year....... so anyways, the main changes was that i was elected prefect (YEAH!), erm, i got into 3L, a predominantly trip science + hist class (not bad....), erm erm, i get to wear long pants (it'll take some time to get used to it i guess), I GOT SCV!!! (FOR FOOTBALL CHN YEAH!!!), erm, and alot of random stuff that im very prone to forget i suppose.......

so anyway, my life has been pretty busy i suppose, so this post shld be rather unexpected..... but ill try to post as often as now i DONT hv msp, there seems to be a BIT more free time NOT SPENT IN SCH (==)......... the first 3 days of sch hasnt exactly been hectic, but my mind was more pre occupied by the holiday homework that hadnt exactly been completed yet...... and then there was OBS which everyone seems to be giving raving reviews abt....

FOR ME,
i just feel the OBS really opened my eyes to alot of my new classmates....... not all definitely, as i could really see that some had not warmed up to each other and opened up to the rest of us..... but well, i really saw the best (and worst ><) of some of my classmates I THINK..... but we shall see....... and ya, but other than tt, OBS was just the usual fun, enriching and fulfilling adventure (eg height elements, sea and land elements etc) sorta camp, just tt it had a lot of responsibility built into it (think pitching tents b4 dark, rmring to bring all the required stuff and cooking together) ya..........

and then there was the 1st wk of PROPER sch aft obs that just passed by (today is saturday NIGHT)

hrm....... met new teachers, some familiar faces....... ya.......... but i bet this year is gonna be really busy and hopefully it'll be a blast....... most of my seniors say sec 3 will pass by VERY FAST, so its up to us to make the most of the opportunities!!!! haha........ but yes, even though its only the first week, im glad its the weekend ><

some new changes included MORNING DUTY (im now put in charge of 2A which is sorta like a sports class in RI where u get to meet the future singapore sports stars XD) erm, then there was board meeting where i had to drink this horrid drink that made me feel VERY UNCOMFORTABLE (gah HR PPL!!!!)...... but i think other tt those, sch life is starting to settle in, no more sleeping in....... and of course regular (intensive as usual) hockey training has resumed (not tt it stopped in the hols much anw) ............ now its like

wednesday - skills + slightly slacker pt
friday - skills + slack pt
sunday - friendly

*note the slack is compared to the erm...... TRAINING we did in the holidays (esp every monday where we go for something like 2+hrs of PT ONLY)

but B DIV IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!! (keeping my fingers crossed to get into the team of course)...... hmmmm 20 spots........... jia you!!!! XD

poetry slam (again)

yay..... poetry slam was fun. im glad i took part in it. it helped reach the quota of 1 eng comp per yr and it was F-U-N........ but im like so sad we didnt qualify for the final 10.... so sry 2p, u came down to watch the 2m and 2k group..... sniff sniff.... and i thot we were getting better as we progressed....

but as i said it was fun, and there were only going to be 6 places? see, it was the prefinals round so only 6 outta the 20 teams could progress. but tts not the hard part. the hard part in qualifying was cuz st. nicks sent in 7 teams to participate...... and guess wad, i heard they hv a cca for poetry slam so yup...... u can imagine......... the other schools literally got owned in the 1st round with the 6or 7 st. nicks teams getting the top 6or 7 spots..........

i screwed up the 1st poem cuz i forgot my line...... was at hockey interhse when the others was rehearsing so (sry!!!)...... hopefully the judges thot it was part of the poem but i oso improvised another line.......... i think it was supposed to go like this

haha........... ok, bad grammar? but like........ yikes!

i thot our second poem appealed more to the crowd (as in, we finally did actions that actually made the audience laugh)

but sigh............ oh, and the crowd in the pre-finals was like all st nick supporters / participants and they were like screaming everytime their teams went on stage. ow.... my ears......

but anw, the poetry slam was fun..... even chin jie said it was fun (even though he didnt want to join it at first)

pepper lunch

juz a few hours ago, i learned (first-hand) wad pepper lunch was.......

nope, its not lunch, as in, u noe, lunch? a meal? yar. its actually a (veri ex) restaurant...... get the picture..... did i mention its quite ex?

anw, went there juz a few hours ago to hv dinner......... the idea of pepper lunch was quite novel in my opinion...... as in........... u get to sorta "cook" your own meal and having a sorta "fast-food" concept (i mean c'mon, the food was served within like....... 5 minutes????)

but yar, did i mention it was quite ex? fine, i agree. it was quite filling (still feeling quite full now 3 1/2 hours on) and the idea was quite novel.......... but the food (in my opinion) wasnt exactly SPECTACULAR......... or wassit juz my (bad) culinary skills cuz i did mention dat we had to sorta "cook it ourselves".......... my chicken was quite reasonably cooked in my opinion........ the salmon juz wasnt tasty enuf (im quite convinced dat dat was NOT my fault) but the tou-ga (or beansprouts) was quite horrid........... dunno why, but my parents said the tou-ga was the onli one dat appeared cooked in their opinion......... WEIRD

two pieces of advice, next time u go pepper lunch
- read the paper thingy around the dish thingy......... it sorta gives instructions on how to "cook" your dish..... i read it abit late...... to my detriment...... in fact, i sorta let the dish cool down for 20 seconds........ blur me...........
even better, go watch the "tutorial" screened outside the restaurant before you do battle wif tou-ga-s...............

-go wif your parents if ure broke........... yup.......... i went wif parents...... so naturally they footed the bill......... 4 ppl = 55 bucks

NOT sumthing dat most ppl (like me) can afford daily.......... fine, weekly even.............

but overall, it was quite a nice exp...... btw, the outlet i went to was at taka...... dunno which one the rosythians might want to go to...... but did i mention it was

NOT EXACTLY CHEAP? wait........ all the things there were not cheap.......... dotz......... o, and its definitely more filling than most fast-food outlets.........

AHA! cts........ ri is bad, real bad. we finish cts on thursday (unless u take AEP or MEP) then we hv friday to slack (as in play tennis wif my neighbor jian wei whose oso my gd fren in ri) then its saturday where things start to get really haywire....... i went out the whole of saturday going on a shopping spree (who said shopping was onli 4 girls?) and then had my mouth burned up by SPICY SPICY SPICY SPCICY SPICY SPICY SPICY SPICY SPICY SPICY

indian food at my coach's house (he invited all the hawkers over for a 'celebration' thingy) im NOT being racist, but i cant take spicy food so yar....... yesterday had to CHENG cuz veri pai sah if every1 eat and i dun eat..........

and then sunday was sweat day......... walked the whole stretch of ah hood road to check out a cc to see if we cld book a court with my aunt and uncle all the way to a lan shop with internet, lan but NO (im not joking, NO) games to play................ not even games on the internet!!!!

ct actually stands for common test, or common s-tress......... serious........... and u noes wads the best thing? we got projects that datelines r real close to cts........ isnt dat cool or wad?? i mean like.......

its 2 weeks to cts (actually, 10, ask chin jie, hes brithday in 9 days)
and we gotsa

-IMPT geog project (impt cuz its worth 40% and if i wanna get 4.0 for geog, i hvta ace this, if not......
-english project.......... some tabloid thingy..... basically, u r supposed to come up with a newspaper dats not supposed to look too much like a newspaper.......... i dunno the weightage....... but im trying a really wacky (and risky and potentially disastrous and.... u get the idea? but hey! its still wacky!) idea......
-science project....... im not sure if u can count this as a project lar........ its basically a task that has to do wif water............ conservation

yar, so basically........ its kinda crap......... oh, and we're moving to the new block tmr!!! (as in like less than abt 11 hours frm now) its called the S.Rajaratnam block........ cool rite? well, the buildings definitely cool............. the monitor, asst. monitor and monitor ppl (AV REPS) got a first look at it (MUAHAHAHA)

basically, its all glass.......... must;ve taken the idea frm either bishan library (seriously, its almost the same type of deco with so much see-through glass) or the ACS compound, according to my dad........

and there are 2 project rooms linking us with 1Q -horrified gasp-.......... o, and becoz of the glass, it also means we cant change in class anymore....... now........ for the petition for curtains......... o, and theres a linkway wif RJC at the 2nd lvl....... so the guys there definitely CANNOT change there.......... quite kool.........

o, there r lifts too........ and NO computer consoles, juz this white(we arent allowed to paint and ruin the classroom with our clumsy hands) box thingy that is supposed to house all the wires to hook up to the teacher's laptop when and if they do nid to use the IT equipment........
note- anticipate time wastage while the teacher hooks up the stuff
also note- teachers veri reliant on IT equipment (like our chinese teacher) will lose quite a bit of weight i think....... considering dat our class is on the third floor........ o, did i mention about lifts?

for the last 3 weeks or so, the lifts are only open to use for teachers and those on the 5th to 7th floor........
note- according to bryan, u cld take the lift to the fifth floor and walk down 2 floors instead of climbing up 2 floors....... smart.......... rite?

and im bored again.............. sighz....... seem to hv lost the urge to play games anymore.......... last time (which was not so long ago) i used to lyk playing comp games non-stop........ no more..... nowadays, i go spend (wasting, rather) posting nonsense tt i doubt many ppl will read and go around playing jose mourinho in the 1p forums........... weird rite?

last time, playing warcraft III was awesome........ well, sorta, cuz like it used to cost a bomb (to poor old young me)....... then i got it 4 free...... cool, rite?

see? i veri smart hor? can drop phone summore............ but at least i learnt a new and valuable lesson........ next time, must back up....... aka put all my phones into my brothers (more advanced, more memory, more expensive and more UNDER UTILISED) phone........ then, if can, transfer it into my comp......... did i mention tt my bro's phone also has more connectivity options???

anw.......... i also learnt another thing other than a lesson, i also learnt that i now hv a total of 7 scratches on the front side of the clamshell and a grand total of 2 chips on the other side...... cool rite? NOT...... silver scratches do NOT go well wif black.............

sighz......... really lazy to post............. i juz found another potential reason to convince me mum to buy a new hockey stick

here r the existing reasons (abit lame though)

-hrm...... the hockey stick is kinda short (actually its not really) buti hv complained tt it gives me backaches frm bending so much

hockey stick is blue and it clashes wif my opinion of a nice color.......... blue = NADA

new reason - the stick has cracks, and if it DOES crack ( which i dunt think will ever happen in probably the next half a decade), its not gonna be pretty (other than hving a new weapon to fend out ppl, tt is)
